UMPIRING

We may be biased, but our netball umpiring program at Sale Netball Association is amazing!

Lead by our senior umpire mentor and educator, Rosemary Johnston. We have an excellent mentoring and testing program for anyone interested in becoming a badged umpire, and regularly conduct courses to develop these skills. We recognise the need for good quality coaches of our players and encourage participation in courses conducted by Netball Victoria to gain the appropriate qualifications

Our new umpires begin on Thursday nights and work up their confidence to begin umpiring our Saturday season.

Monday nights are for our umpires who have a few seasons under their belt and either have earned a badge, or a working towards a badge.

Umpires are supported at all competitions by our wonderful umpire mentors. These lovely umpires give up their time to help support and train the next generations of umpires.

If you are aged 12+ and are interested in becoming an umpire, or are an experienced umpire and would like to get back into netball umpiring/mentoring, please contact salenetball@gmail.com

Sale Netball Association respectfully acknowledges the Gunaikurnai People as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands and waters where SNA is based in Gippsland. We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of all the lands and waters where netball is played throughout Victoria and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We also wish to recognise the tremendous contribution that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people make to sport, and in particular netball in Victoria. We also wish to highlight the power of Netball to promote reconciliation, enhance belonging and reduce inequality.
